A resident of Bellerive for 66 years

Firstly I wish to congratulate the Bellerive Bluff Coast Care Group, for their fantastic efforts and endless volunteer work during the past fifteen years ie with some back up support by CCC

I have a vision: All power poles removed from Victoria Esplanade and replaced by below ground services.

The roadway widened by at least a metre with appropriate kerb and guttering thus allowing space for traffic to safely pass oncoming cars and where stationary vehicles are parked ie large Boats etc

Improved storm water control where necessary

Definitely never ever contemplate a pier at Bellerive Beach for any purpose. The Beach is too open and exposed to the southerly weather A pier would be unsightly It would ruin the use of the children's no dog end of the beach It would require vehicular access and we get too many illegal jet ski users at the beach already. Would it really only be for the patrons of the oval after all???

There has been a loss of so many trees and please no more removed There has been very little replanting of trees just small shrubs. The large trees at the bottom of Chapman S at the back of the beach gave lovely shade for families of young children to sit under on hot days. They were removed but we were promised that they would be replaced When will this happen? The metal seat with a roof is a joke and does not provide any shade

Bellerive Fort is a major problem. Parks and Wildlife cant afford to maintain it, CCC don't want the responsibility. This is crown land and the State should be responsible for repairing it. In the mean time this very historic land mark will continue to deteriorate Also please NO commercial interests eg restaurants, etc on that site on its boundary fences.

Regarding this survey, have CCC considered how elderly loyal rate payers , who chose not to be computer literate, will answer this survey. My neighbour has typed this for me and read it back to me however otherwise I am not able to access these HAVE YOUR SAY web based opportunities.

Thank you Dal
