Pindos Park Redevelopment

Clarence City Council will begin construction of a major upgrade to Pindos Park in Tranmere later this year.

The new Pindos Park will provide a state-of the art, inclusive and family-friendly local park with a coastal theme. Features in the new park will include:

  • new all ages and fully inclusive play equipment
  • a large play structure with a bridge, climbing elements, lookouts and slides
  • two new picnic areas with BBQs
  • seating within the playground to allow parents/carers to sit while watching their children play
  • nature play equipment on soft bark mulch surface
  • upgraded landscaping and the removal/renewal of some existing vegetation
  • a pathway network, including upgrading existing pathways to improve access and connections to the Clarence Foreshore Trail
  • open grassed areas for family picnics or kickabout activities
  • a paling fence fully enclosing the play area

You can view the designs for the new park in the 'Documents' section on the right or click here.

The design of the new Pindos Park was informed following extensive community consultation undertaken in 2016. A summary of the feedback we received during consultation can be found in the Council meeting report in the 'Documents' section on the right.

Having originally been planned in 2016, the Pindos Park upgrade has experienced a series of delays. Council appreciates that the delay has been frustrating for local residents but we are excited to be able to deliver the long-awaited Pindos Park in 2023.

Council officers will be on-site at Pindos Park on Wednesday, 5 April from 4pm to 7pm to provide more information and talk to local residents and other community members about this exciting project. You are also welcome to contact Council officers directly (contact details on the right) if you have any questions about the project.

This page will be updated as with more information as plans to deliver the new Pindos Park are progressed, so keep checking back for updates.
