Reasonable dog owner 😁

I would just like to acknowledge that this is an important process and understand there would be many views on these decisions. I have lived on the eastern shore my whole life and absolutely love taking my dog to the beach. We mostly frequent seven mile and bellerive for a change. I respect the current rules in summer and have no issue with dogs being restricted on small busy beaches such as bellerive during the day however, I would hate to see dogs being restricted any further than they already are at beaches. I am not opposed to sections of beaches being dog free at all times but banning dogs completely is going to increase numbers at the already busy bellerive dog park because there are limited spaces for off lead dogs. Dogs should be able to enjoy the water in summer. I also would like to ensure wildlife at places like the meehan are protected as best as possible so support places like that being on lead. I have given feedback for a proposed dog park park Cambridge and I think a second dog park is needed on the eastern shore, something like the one in lenah valley with a bit of bush/trees and the obstacles. Good luck finding a balance because I think that is the best way forward.
