I have lived in Lauderdale for over 20 years and walk my dog ( as i did my previous dog) twice a day, every day, regardless of the weather . I can guarantee that 99 % of beach users are dog owners. In summer when the restrictions are in place from10-6, the beach is empty a lot of the time.

There are many elderly people in our neighbourhood that use the beach for their daily exercise with their dogs and for social interaction. If you remove access for them from the canal to Mays point, they will lose this important part of their lives.
Why would you change something that provides such an important social and exercise outlet for so many???
Please leave our beach access to the people that live here and use it EVERY DAY!!
